Suffolk News Herald: Dental Expansion begins
The Board of Directors of Western Tidewater Free Clinic (WTFC) is pleased to announce Ashley O. Greene as the new Executive Director. Ashley is uniquely qualified to serve in this role, given her nine years of tenure at WTFC serving as our Director of Development. In addition, she is a Suffolk native and has strong relationships and ties locally and regionally. Ashley’s knowledge of all facets of the Clinic, her success in fund development and her experience leading strategic and operational initiatives at the Clinic will ensure the long-term success of WTFC.
Ashley graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the College of William and Mary. She was an Inside Business “Top Forty Under 40” honoree in 2007 and was named the Association of Fundraising Professionals Hampton Roads Chapter “Outstanding Fundraising Professional” this past October. Ashley, her husband Andy and their four children live in Suffolk.
Board chair Bob Hayes said, “Ashley believes strongly in our team culture and is committed to creating a healthy environment for staff, volunteers and patients. The board knows she will continue to lead the Clinic to success in the future.”
Mrs. Greene continues the work of the Clinic staff and community volunteers who care for an average of 1,400 patients per year at WTFC. She says, “I am thrilled and grateful for this opportunity to serve in this new role with the stellar Clinic team, volunteers and board. I look forward to growing our already strong relationships in the community and to providing care to more of our neighbors who can benefit from our services.”
The Board of Directors is delighted Ashley will be leading the talented and steadfast Clinic team. We value her dedication to the Clinic and her deep commitment to our mission, vision and values.
