We were founded with the belief that healthcare is a basic human right and should be accessible to all. We’re searching for a fundraising pro – someone with experience in major gifts, donor cultivation, stewardship, and development strategy – to make this vision possible.

As Director of Development, you’ll lead all fundraising and donor relations efforts. You’ll build and execute a strategic, long-term development plan, set annual goals in partnership with our Executive Director and Board, and steward relationships that fuel our life-changing work. You’ll also oversee our Outreach Manager and support key areas like grants, public relations, and communications.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree + 5+ years of development/fundraising experience
• Proven success in cultivating, securing and stewarding major gifts from individual and institutional donors
• Stellar written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Tech-savvy and confident working across platforms, specifically Microsoft Office and Bloomerang
• A heart for service, a team mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a people-centered, mission-driven environment and motivate/inspire others towards a goal/cause

Nurse Practitioner
Full-time M-F  (Salary – $110,000 – $125,000)

Western Tidewater Free Clinic (WTFC) is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner with Virginia autonomous practice authority to join our growing clinical team, caring for uninsured and underserved adults in our community.

Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients who are uninsured or underserved, including preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness evaluation, patient education, and coordination of care.
You will practice independently, without a physician practice agreement, as part of an interdisciplinary team. Medical Director support is available as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy staff and volunteers
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered care activities

We’re looking for someone who has:

Required

• Current unrestricted RN license (Virginia or multistate compact privilege)
• Active, unrestricted Virginia Nurse Practitioner license with autonomous practice designation (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Minimum 5 years of primary care or family practice experience as an NP
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS certification
• Commitment to serving vulnerable populations

Preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
• Behavioral health experience
• Experience in community health, federally qualified health centers, or free clinics
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
