Eligibility Coordinator
Part-time (22 hrs/wk)

Western Tidewater Free Clinic (WTFC) is located in Suffolk, VA.  Its mission is to provide high-quality, non-emergency health care to the residents of Western Tidewater who cannot otherwise afford it.

WTFC is seeking an Eligibility Coordinator to interview potential patients to determine their eligibility for services at the Clinic based on criteria established by the Clinic. The Coordinator must have excellent communication skills in order to develop good rapport with patients, volunteers and other members of the Clinic team. Must be willing to travel to offsite locations for scheduling appointments. Will mentor, supervise and train volunteers and staff. Must be supportive of the Clinic’s mission and demonstrate the values of treating patients with compassion and respect. Must be very detail-oriented and computer-proficient with experience in Excel. The ideal candidate should have customer service experience. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, not required.
