Exciting New Opportunity: Mental Health Coordinator (New Position)

Are you passionate about mental health and ready to make an impact in a meaningful way? Western Tidewater Free Clinic is thrilled to announce the creation of a new grant funded position: Mental Health Coordinator. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to help support and streamline our growing mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling Management:
    Coordinate mental health provider schedules, respond to scheduling inquiries, and ensure staff are promptly updated on any changes.
  • Patient Communication and Support:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for mental health-related patient calls, relay messages to nurses, and collect necessary consents and forms from patients.
  • Patient Outcomes Measurement:
    Work closely with mental health providers to track and record patient outcomes, discharges, and maintain data for reporting purposes.
  • Administrative Support:
    Reconcile lab results, file mental health notes, prepare appointment packets, and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Medication Management:
    Assist with medication reconciliation, coordinate prior authorizations, and liaise with insurance companies and pharmacies for approvals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in human services or mental health practice, with proficiency in data management, Excel, and EHR systems (Epic preferred).
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.

Pharmacist
PRN

Are you a licensed pharmacist looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? Western Tidewater Free Clinic (WTFC) is seeking a dedicated PRN Pharmacist to join our team and support our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to those in need.

As a PRN Pharmacist at WTFC, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the medications they need for their care. This is a flexible, as-needed position, ideal for a pharmacist who wants to contribute to a meaningful cause while maintaining a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with providers and other clinical staff to optimize patient care.
  • Support the management and distribution of medications within the clinic.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and compliance with all pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications

  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Virginia.
  • Experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to WTFC’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
